The beauty with growing Dahlia seeds is that you don't know what you will get! It's a lucky dip of what genetics decided to take place the day of pollination!
However - since we only grow for cut flower production your chances for having some absolute beauties is high!
Dahlia's grown from seed will produce tubers in their first year of growing.
A little tip from me : If you are growing a lot of Dahlia's from seed, make sure you label your favorites early on so you know which ones to keep! The tubers produced from your seedling plant will produce the exact same plant the following year.
