Selected for their form and beauty, this mix offers a high percentage of double-flowering varieties—perfect for creating abundant, textural bouquets.

Zinnias are one of the easiest and most rewarding cut flowers to grow, producing large, vibrant blooms on long, sturdy stems with an exceptional vase life.

Growing Instructions (New Zealand)

Sowing:
Sow directly into the garden after the risk of frost has passed (typically October–December), or start indoors 3–4 weeks earlier. Zinnias prefer warm soil and do not tolerate frost.

Position:
Full sun is essential for strong growth and abundant flowering.

Soil:
Well-drained, fertile soil. Improve with compost before planting if needed.

Spacing:
Space plants 20–30cm apart to allow good airflow and healthy growth.

Watering:
Water regularly while establishing. Once established, zinnias are relatively drought tolerant, but consistent watering will encourage better flowering.

Care:
Pinch young plants when 20–30cm tall to encourage branching and more blooms. Regular picking will promote continuous flowering throughout summer.

Flowering:
Expect blooms from early summer through to autumn.
